Registration and Workshops

Can I pay with a credit card, with online registration?

Yes, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover credit cards are accepted for online registration, as well as Apple Pay and Paypal.

Mailed registrations pay by check (Payable: Music Workshops, LLC) or purchase order. (Credit card registration is an online process only). Access the mail-in registration form here.

Can I pay with a Purchase Order (P.O.) online?

No. Purchase Orders must be submitted with a mailed or emailed registration (click registration/fees link or look under 2019 workshops).

 I can only attend the 5-day workshop for 1, 2 or 3 days. Can I pay a partial tuition?

No. We have found that part-time participation is disruptive to the flow of the workshop learning sequence. If you can only attend for 4 of the 5 days, that is OK, but full tuition is required.

 If I register now and find out that I cannot attend, what is the policy?

Music Workshops, LLC will refund your money. There is a $25 processing fee for all cancellations before May 15, and a $75 fee after May 15.

 If I register for one workshop site, can I change my registration to a different site later?

Yes. Just notify our Registrar by email at musicworkshops@me.com.

 What is the workshop cancellation policy?

We fully expect each class and each workshop to occur, with robust participation; however, in the event the registration numbers fall short of what is needed, the course and/or location will be cancelled, with notices going to all current registrants. At that time, participants may select another class or location, or accept a full refund. Our suggestion? Register early!

I’m not sure if I want to take the workshop for non-credit or for 3 G semester credits. Can I Upgrade to 3 G credits later if I sign up for non-credit now?

Yes. You can Upgrade through the check out process in the Graduate credit page. You may also send a check for $320 to our Registrar in Minneapolis (MWL, Ltd, PO Box 3697, Minneapolis, MN 55403). You will be expected to add the credits within the first day of classes. Consult the Graduate credit page for details on adding credits once class has begun.

 Can I register for the "Drum It Forward" tuition ($299) if I expect to graduate in the spring or summer of the workshop I attend?

Yes. We realize that you may not have a paycheck for a while, so we want to make it possible to get a head start on your profession.

 Is the workshop available for UG credit?

No, we only grant 3 Graduate semester credits in cooperation with the VanderCook College of Music. Participants registering for three graduate will identify the university that granted their most recent degree, as well as the degree earned (ie., BA, BM, MME, etc.)

 What sort of certification do I get at the end of the 5-day workshop?

All participants receive a certificate stating that they successfully completed the workshop. They also receive a verification letter stating that they completed 35 (non-Wisconsin) professional development hours. (Those attending the workshop in Milwaukee, WI receive a letter accounting for 42 hours of workshop attendance, due to the evening activities in this residency-based workshop) Those enrolled in the 3 G semester credit option should anticipate spending additional hours toward completion of a project submitted after the workshop (within three weeks). Notification of their grade will be received from VanderCook College of Music. A transcript from VanderCook is available by request.
